The Cold Sore on the Lip Of America- Detroit

Oct 5 Day 29:We got to Eric's house late last night to catch game 2 of the Cubs.. They lost again! Very Sad for me. We slept in on Friday am, I think we are still catching up from our overnight trip! Eric even slept in as well. Good for him. We had a slow morning of coffee and catching up! Then Eric took me to his shop!!! where all the magic happens. I spent a few hours seeing how a prosthetic foot is manufactured. It was really amazing to see all the hand work that is done and how many different steps there is. Today was the first day on the trip that I was thinking about work! I mean really thinking about work. I feel very lucky that I am in the profession that I am and lucky of all the people I have met along the way. Following the tour we met Karen at St. Claire Lake to go for a run! We ran for about 56 mins. It was very hot and humid! I can't believe that about a week ago we were in 30 something weather! Amazing. We then headed home for some snacks and a shower and then headed to The Royal Oak District for dinner and pool. We had flashes of brillance while playing pool but for the most part it was pretty poor playing. We then danced a bit to DJ Invisible! 1am rolled around and we headed home for bed! It was another great day for us!

Oct 6th Day 30! Happy Birthday Trish!!! We woke up at the crack of dawn to take Eric to The airport and then Headed to Canada! we drove about 5 hours to Niagara Falls. See the next blog!
